Follow Up Boss pricing: what Grow, Pro and Platform cost, and which one to buy

Follow Up Boss costs $69 a user a month on Grow, $499 for ten users on Pro and $1,000 for thirty on Platform, plus $39 a user for calling on Grow. Buy Grow up to four people, Pro from five, Platform from 21.

What does Follow Up Boss cost?

Follow Up Boss sells three plans. Grow is priced per user with nothing bundled. Pro and Platform are flat fees with a block of seats included and a per-seat rate above it. The pricing page opens on its Yearly tab, so the first numbers you see, $58, $416 and $833, are the same plans prepaid for twelve months. The monthly figures are in the table.

Do you need the calling add-on?

Every account gets a basic FUB Phone: one company number that takes inbound calls and sends and receives texts. It cannot dial out. Outbound calling, with a number for each agent, is FUB Calling. Pro and Platform include it for everyone. Grow charges $39 a user a month for it, or $33 on annual billing. A three-person Grow team that all dial from the CRM pays $324 a month instead of $207.

If you want the AI features, budget the add-on too. Follow Up Boss charges nothing extra for them, but several run on data from FUB Calling, so on Grow they depend on the paid dialer.

Watch the trial. Every free trial includes a calling trial, and a paid account can run a 14-day one for up to 20 users once every six months. When it ends the add-on is added to your subscription and billed. A Grow owner can cancel it from Admin, then Billing, effective immediately.

Texting costs nothing extra but needs 10DLC business registration first. Carriers have blocked texts from unregistered numbers since December 2024. Follow Up Boss files the registration and pays the fee, and approval takes about 48 hours. What it will not do is automate a text sequence past the first message. One agent on r/RealEstateTechnology says Follow Up Boss pushes you to a partner tool at “$150+ a month” for that. If drip texting is how you work leads, price that line as well.

Which plan is cheapest for your team?

Alone, buy Grow. You pay $69, or $108 with the dialer, and nothing else on the page comes close. One agent's published software stack runs Follow Up Boss at $69 beside a $15 OpenPhone line, which is the cheaper route if all you want is a separate business number.

Two to four people, stay on Grow. Three users are $207 a month, or $324 with calling for everyone, against $499 on Pro. If only the team lead dials, three seats and one add-on come to $246.

From five people, buy Pro. It is cheaper than Grow from the fifth user when every seat has the dialer, and from the eighth even if nobody does, and it brings the team inboxes and call reporting that Grow leaves out. Follow Up Boss itself puts Grow at five users or fewer. Each plan has a maximum, because the plan-change page blocks a downgrade when you have more users than the lower plan allows, and Follow Up Boss will not say what the number is. Assume Grow stops at five.

From 21 people, buy Platform. Twenty users on Pro cost $989 a month, eleven dollars under Platform, and the twenty-first tips it. Platform also drops the extra seat from $49 to $20 and adds teams within teams.

Is annual billing worth it?

Annual billing is two months free. Grow drops to $58 a user, Pro to $416 and Platform to $833, with extra seats at $41 and $17 and the dialer at $33. You prepay twelve months. The Terms give no refund if you cancel before the term ends, hold your price fixed for that term, and let it change at renewal with notice. Moving from annual back to monthly earns a prorated credit on the account rather than cash.

Take annual if your headcount is settled. Pay monthly if you expect to cross five or 21 users this year, because a plan change is where a prepaid year hurts. Everyone pays tax on top, and without a business address on file the Terms let Zillow charge it at the highest rate in the country.

Has Follow Up Boss raised its prices?

Not the monthly ones. Wayback captures of the pricing page show Grow at $69, Pro at $499 with $49 seats, Platform at $1,000 with $20 seats and the dialer at $39 in every capture from October 2021 to September 2026. The three-plan line-up dates from December 2020. Before that Follow Up Boss sold Start at $49, Grow at $69 and Dominate at $99 a user.

The annual tab is what moved. Annual Grow went from $57 to $58 between late 2023 and late 2024, the $33 annual dialer rate was there by October 2024, and annual extra seats fell from $49 and $20 to $41 and $17 by January 2025. Annual is a better deal than it was two years ago.

Zillow has owned Follow Up Boss since December 2023 and says it will “remain an independent brand and a standalone product”. Two things follow for the bill. Zillow Preferred agents must hold a Follow Up Boss subscription. A Zillow Pro membership includes Follow Up Boss, cancels the standalone subscription, and is priced as a total for the team, so none of the numbers above apply to it.

What happens once the lead is under contract?

Follow Up Boss ends where the contract starts. Every plan above is priced for getting a lead to a signed contract: routing, calling, texting, action plans. Then come the inspection deadline, the appraisal, the lender's conditions, title, and a client who wants to know what happens next. Nothing in Grow, Pro or Platform reads the contract, tracks those dates or chases the lender. That is a transaction coordinator's job, and it is what DeedSpring does, from $25 a closing. It has a Follow Up Boss connector, so it sits downstream of the CRM you already pay for.

Where does DeedSpring fit beside Follow Up Boss?

Keep Follow Up Boss for leads. When a deal goes under contract, upload the executed contract to DeedSpring and it reads the price, deposits, contingencies and dates into deadlines on the file. It checks every open closing every hour, flags what is slipping, and drafts the chases and client updates for you to send, with anything sensitive or negotiable always waiting for a person. Your buyers and sellers get a portal, and e-signing is built in.

A closing in DeedSpring: the contract's dates on the milestone chain, an overdue inspection flagged, and the lender already chased for the appraisal.

Starter is $15 a month for one closing a month. Standard is $25 a closing, $22 from five a month, $20 from ten and $19 from twenty, with unlimited agents and teammates and unused closings rolling over. Both are month to month, and there is no per-seat fee, which is the opposite of every plan above.
