Snapshots
Snapshots are save points for the workspace. Take one before a large change, then restore if you need that version back. You choose what each snapshot captures: the schema, workspace pages, or your client portals.
Open Settings, then History, and pick the Snapshots tab. Until you create one, the screen shows No snapshots yet. Use New or Create your first snapshot.
What a snapshot can include
- Schema — tables, fields, and views.
- App — the internal workspace pages and files.
- Portals — client portal config and files.
All three are on by default. Turn one off if you only need a restore point for part of the workspace. You must include at least one.
Save a snapshot
1
Start from New
Click New (or Create your first snapshot when the list is empty). Name it something you will recognize later — for example "Before redesign". A short description is optional.
2
Choose what to capture
Check Schema, App, and/or Portals, then Create Snapshot.
3
Restore only when you mean it
Open a saved snapshot and choose Restore. Only what that snapshot contains is replaced; anything it did not include is left alone. Create a snapshot of the current state first if you might want to come back.
Restore can delete later work
If tables or fields were added after the snapshot, restoring it will remove them — and the records in them. You will be asked to confirm that list before it proceeds. This cannot be undone.
When to use it
- Before you ask the assistant to reshape pages, fields, or the closing process.
- Before a portal branding or layout change you might want to roll back.
- Snapshots are not a substitute for connected data sources. Restoring the workspace does not re-import CRM rows on its own.
